“Talancutsa” Academy

Is an ethno folk group within the limits of the Musicians’ Union of Moldova, where it has been acting for more than twenty five years under the direction of the most experienced experts on Moldovan musical folklore – ethno-musicologist Andrei Tamazlicaru.

The group’s aim is to research the music and bring back old popular songs, without any changes in notes or words.  The 25 singers of the group demonstrate originality in their interpretations and have a rare self-restraint and act in a really national way, restoring the richness and beauty of our people’s creative spirit. This is the originality and the value of “Talancutsa”.
