Alexei Colibneac

Is one of the most gifted and productive painters of our counrty (born in 1943, the member of Molodvan Painters’ Union since 1971), Honoured Master of Arts, academician (since 2003). The directions he works in: book graphics, easel graphics, painting. He illustrated about 150 books of some authors of national and other peoples’ classic literature. At present he is considered the best children’s books’ illustrator, especially of the storys’ books.

His activity was marked by numerous national and international prizes, but the most precious one is the Honourable Diploma « Hans Christian Andersen » of the International Children’s and Teenagers’ book’s  Conference IBBY (The town Bazel, Switzerland, 2006). He is the only painter with the seniority of 38 years of pedagogic activity in the domain of artistic education of the young generation, university professor, one of the founders of Painting faculty of the Academy of Music, Theater, and Painting, at present he is the chief of Graphics chair of the same university.

Recently he organized a vast personal exhibition in the Exhibitional Center « C. Brancush » for all the amateurs of art.
