Romanian Government to grant Moldova EUR 2 mln aid

The Government of Romania will offer Moldova EUR 2 mln in order to overcome the situation occurred in agriculture as a result of this year’s drought.

PM Vasile Tarlev and his Romanian colleague Calin Popescu Tariceanu carried on a telephone conversation on Wednesday, August 22. The Romanian PM expressed his regret in what concerns the difficult situation of Moldova caused by the drought, saying that Romania is willing to support Moldova in overcoming the situation.

Also, the parties discusses about the development of bilateral collaboration and implementation of the agreements reached during the recent visit of the Romanian PM to Moldova.
