Hope for Vancouver

Young sportsman from Smolensk Natalia Levchencova won silver medal within the limits of the European Championship in 1997 and bronze at the World Championship at the same year.

The first serious exam she had to pass after coming to Moldova were the Winter Olympic Games in Toronto in 2006. The best result – the eighth place – was registered at the individual course at the distance of 15 kilometers. And at the beginning of last year the finished the eighth at the World Championship that took place in Sweden, later she became the champion of Europe  in Czech town Nove Mesto, bringing to Moldova the first medal in winter sports disciplines.

By the way, Natalia already has the permission to go to the Winter Olympic Games that will be held in 2010 in Canadean town Vancouver, wherefrom she hopes to return with a medal.
